Come Here Floyd Music Blog Single Premiere
Conscious and decadent, WASHBURN AND THE RIVER’s single ‘Fear’ is an indie-folk work of beauty. The soul touching vocals of Jake Rosenberg, and the heavenly strums and picking of the guitar, relegates your senses to putty, as it uplifts you into another plain.
Jake and his friend Jonah created this project, and as the years have gone by, the discipline of song-craft has been forging from Jake’s heart and through his writing pen.
‘Fear’ is a heart wrenchingly gorgeous play on emotions that don’t come to any conclusion. It’s like that in our own lives, as the passages of time and space, intermingle with trepidation, guilt, angst, suppositions, and happiness. It builds into a crescendo of feelings, where sometimes, there’s nowhere to go, and nowhere to hide, as the same time.
Milked into a corner of consciousness, ‘Fear’ delves into the malaise of existence, fully retrospective, involved, and highly intuitive. Jake’s deep and engrossed contentment in seeking the right fissures of the mind, delegates into pure musical bliss.
The full album debut of WASHBURN AND THE RIVER’s ‘Fear Of Fallow Season’s Greetings’ is a tale of ‘road trips’ to a place Jake called home growing up – reflecting on his personal growth, expansion of his knowledge, and how he dealt with the ‘demons’ of his past and maybe future.
