Ingrid Kovacs

Ingrid Kovacs has been teaching the violin and viola for over 35 years, and has worked with beginners and advanced students alike. Known as a passionate educator, she will inspire you to achieve your very best! Ingrid has been working with students from ages 3 to doctoral level for the past 35 years. She is certified through Book V of the Suzuki Method. She provides students with a strong technical foundation, instills a love of music, and gets children excited about learning the violin and viola. She is patient while still encourage students to be self-directed in their learning.
Ingrid is a retired orchestra director in the Clark County Schools, Nevada schools. She is an Associate Professor of Music at the American College of Music. In addition, she works as an online instructor at American Public, Boston, and Concordia Universities. Ingrid remains active as a professional violinist and performs in all of the local symphonies. When not working online or playing in an orchestra, she enjoys traveling, cooking, riding her two horses, and taking Stanley (her dog) on long walks. She is married and lives with her husband in Arroyo Grande, CA.
