Kimberly Jackson
For the past 23 years, I have been teaching piano lessons in both private school settings and in my own home studio in Northview, Missouri. Because I live in a rural area, I do not typically have a large piano studio. Each year my students participate in the National Federation of Music Clubs Contest and Piano Guild. I am member of both MTNA and the National Guild of Piano teachers. I am currently working on my master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in music and writing. My teaching philosophy is that each student is an individual and repertoire should be tailored to each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Technique is key at each lesson. Goals are part of the important outline for each student, with the mindset that piano is not another activity to check off of a child or parent’s to do list. It is an art form, and learning it takes time and patience. The rewards are boundless, and I am here to partner with you or your child.
