I’m flexible, laid back in my teaching style, and passionate about encouraging helping those who need it. I always attempt to keep each student learning something new for each lesson, while allowing him or her to make steady, consistent progress. I always encourage consistent practice throughout the week to further progress and get closer to achieving goals and getting best desired results. I always stand by the motto “you get out of what you put into it” while remaining positive and encouraging throughout each lesson.
I studied music at WPUNJ with a focus on music theory as well as the business side of the music industry. I began teaching in 2006, and it continues to be a wonderful journey. I enjoy inspiring, motivating, and encouraging each student to become acquainted with the instrument so he or she can become more thoroughly skilled. I’m skilled at piano and electronic synthesizers, in which I can teach Classical or Contemporary music. I can teach acoustic guitar or electric guitar, Classical, Jazz, or Contemporary, depending on the style one wants to pursue.
I’ve had over 17 years of teaching experience in guitar for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students, 9 years of teaching experience in piano for beginners and intermediate students, and 4 years of teaching experience in Bass guitar for beginner students. I demonstrate technique of performing, lend tips on how to correct mistakes, and show how to further their experience while developing his or her own style. I’m very encouraging, always emphasizing a positive and productive approach to learning. I like to guide each student into the directions and styles that he or she wants to learn, while allowing them to set reasonable and realistic goals. Overall, the enjoyment of teaching and having other students learn, achieve, and accomplish their goals on their instrument is what makes it all worthwhile.
